So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I stayed home from work yesterday with Baby Girl because she was sick.  By dinner time she was back to her normal little self.
  • My day off kept me from reading all my blogs and now I feel way far behind.  Can't wait to get all caught up!
  • I had no luck with the potty training of Baby Girl so far.  She has already figured out that she can just touch the sensors on the potty to make it sing.
  • Buying a car seat cover was almost as expensive as buying  new car seat!  Oh well, at least all of Baby Boy's stuff will match.
  • Baby Girl had one of the most bipolar days every on Sunday.
  • I miss alcohol this pregnancy.  A testy toddler may have something to do with that.
  • Wall-E is the only animated movie Baby Girl really likes so far.  It's a good thing I think it's cute otherwise I'd go crazy having it on repeat all day!
  • I posted a job ad for my own job.  I can't wait to hire my replacement!
  • Baby Girl has started to randomly stop and give hugs.  It's ridiculously adorable when she says 'ug ug' and wraps her little arms around my legs.
  • I went through chocolate milk withdrawal yesterday because we didn't have any and I didn't feel like taking sick Baby Girl to the grocery store.
  • I totally Facebook bitchslapped a girl who thought she was in the right to tell me that something I posted was inappropriate.  It totally wasn't.
  • I'm finding The Voice to be a bit boring this season.  Maybe because the talent just isn't as good as it has been in the past.

Comments

  1. I saw a couple of The Voice audition sessions, but I haven't seen it since then. I liked the judges though, I thought it was a good mix.

Visiting today from Friday Chaos. :)

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
