So What Wednesday

Check out Shannon at Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday.

So what if:

~This is my first private post.  I hate that I had to completely block off my life from certain people but I know it had to be done.  I'm just happy you're all still here with me!

~I have no idea if my email subscription is still working.  It stopped working because I had changed my blog name and had forgotten to adjust it on my feed burner but now it doesn't seem to be working at all.

~I'm almost finished with my Christmas shopping.  I love being done with time to spare!

~I always wait until I have purchased all Christmas gifts before I wrap them.  It's an organizational thing.  I like to separate gifts by person and wrap them all in the same paper for each person.  OCD at its finest.

~I'm a little too excited for our new furniture that is coming today.

~I was really surprised to see Home on Netflix already.  I wasn't sold on the movie at first but I guess it's a cute one.

~I want to send my Christmas cards out now.  I usually wait until closer to Christmas to send them but I think I'll do it now.  I really love our card this year.

~I'm happy that I have my grandmother's piano now but I'm also a little sad because I know the kids won't leave it alone and I don't want them to break it.

~I feel like I'm ALWAYS cleaning and yet my house is never clean.  Dam kids.

~I'm excited for my PartyLite party on Sunday.  I can't wait to get my hands on some of their Christmas items.

~I cut about an inch off of Ashlyn's hair just to give it a trim and now she's complaining that it's too short.  I guess I won't be cutting her hair ever again.

What are you saying so what to?

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
