This week, I'm saying so what if... If Baby Girl spends almost all of her time in her new bouncer.  She really loves that thing and I get shit done! My husband and I decided to take a 'me' day Sunday which turned into an 'everyone else' day. I'm still sick.  I haven't slept through the night in like 5 weeks, 2 of which are because I'm sick, and not because of Baby Girl I still haven't packed away the bassinet.  I haven't made her sleep in it at all this week so it's ok. I already gave my husband one of his Father's Day gifts.  I was just too excited about it! I know the only thing my husband really wants for Father's Day is to sleep and I went ahead and scheduled a full day of events for us.  It's his first Father's Day!  I'm getting my Dad a grill for Father's Day even though it's really for my Mom because she wants a new grill.  My Dad is never home to grill anything anyway! Yesterday was Ashlyn's 6 month check up.  She did really well.  She weighed in at 17lbs 8oz (75th %) and she is 27.5 inches long (95th %).  Now I know why all of her 6 month clothing is getting so short on her!  She won't have another appointment for 3 months now so no more shots for a while!  She did well with her shots.  I tried to do what we did last time with feeding her during the shots and while I think it helped, it didn't completely distract her from the pain.  She cried a little longer after the second shot this time.  She whined a little more and wanted to cuddle a little more.  But she still did well.  She was a little grouchy and tired after her shots this time but she went to daycare and gave her usual smiles and I didn't hear anything from her caregiver so I'm guessing she did just fine! She still chews on everything.  I have to keep a bib on her at all times because she likes to chew on it.  If I don't k...

I wanted to get this posted yesterday but I just didn't get time.  Oh my sweet Baby Girl.  You have been with me for six months now.  I have woken up to your sweet smile for 184 days.  I have held you in my arms and given you kisses countless times.  I have squeezed you and whispered into your ear thousands of times how much I love you and how happy I am to have you.  I never expected you to bring me this much joy.  I never expected to feel as though my heart could explode at any given moment because you fill it with so much love.  I never expected to want to spend every waking moment with you.  You are the happiest baby I have ever met.  We've proven that you can be miserable, but only when you are sick.  I feel like you know when our time is together and you do your best to make the most of it.  I know all of your faces, even though they are ever changing.  I know all of your cries, what all of your mov...

Last week and weekend was just crazy with trying to prepare for Ashlyn's Dedication.  I decided to have a lunch after the Dedication for all of our friends and family who were able to join us for this special day.  My Mom and I spent all week going from store to store to get the favors and the food and the plates and the cups and whatever else we needed. Friday was my birthday so we didn't do anything Dedication related but we spent the whole day Saturday shopping and cooking and putting things together.  Everything worked out perfectly and we had so many wonderful friends and family members gather for this special day. My Mom and I were so busy with the food and with talking to people that we were not able to take ANY pictures!  So we are are the mercy of others for the few pictures we did get.
