Update 10/11/11

How far along: 31 weeks, 63 days to go!
Size of baby: Still the size of a squash
Maternity Clothes: So far I love all of the Fall stuff I just got!
Gender: Baby Girl!
Movement: Lots and lots!
What I miss: My energy! My more stable moods!
Cravings: I'm not really craving much of anything.
Symptoms: I'm still very tired all of the time, no headaches, ankles swell occasionally, heartburn and backaches are the worst!

I still don't have too much to report. I can't wait to go back to the doctor on Monday for my next ultrasound. I can't wait to see how big my little monster is! Maybe they will push my due date up again. I'm really hoping for early December rather than mid-December.

I'm still feeling pretty good, aside from being tired. I think that the cooler temperatures are really helping my mood! My husband is happy for the change. He is actually looking forward to spending these last two months with me!

Little Miss is still kicking all of the time. She kicks a lot when she is hungry. I can always feel her the most when I'm laying on my back. The worst is when she kicks my bladder and I feel like I'm going to pee in my pants!

Last night was actually the first night that I woke up in the middle of the night to a baby moving. She usually sleeps through the night but she didn't want to last night. My husband is getting sick so we went the store and asked the Pharmacist what I could take in case I got sick too. So I took some before bed last night and I don't think Little Miss liked it. I didn't get any sleep last night!

I'm still nervous about our house. My husband got the living room done so now that has become our bedroom. He is making progress in the bedroom but there is still so much work to be done. The good news is that we got a ton of furniture over the weekend so we can fill the rooms back up! The bad news is that it's all in our garage so it's a little difficult to move around down there!

My second dress fitting went even better than the first. The dress fit perfectly! I can't wait for Saturday. It's going to be a very long day but it's going to be well worth it. I'm so happy for the bride and groom!

Invitations for my husband's 30th went out last week. I have a few people who have RSVP'd but not too many. I need people to RSVP!! There is catering involved here! It will be a blast regardless. I'm trying to schedule some other surprises for him for the day as well. I just want him to have a fun day.

Next update will be next after my ultrasound on Monday, October 17th. After that, I will probably only post ever other week since I have to go the doctor every other week. It's getting so close!!

Here is a new baby bump photo for you:

It's not a great picture but what do you expect from a self-portrait? If you look, you will see my little puggers at my feet again!

I also want to make a quick shout out to "An Ordinary Mom". Check out her blog here. She is going through a very difficult time right now with her oldest son who had a brain tumor removed recently. Please send your love to her and her family.

I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
