Update 10/17/11

How far along: 31 weeks 6 days, 57 days to go!
Size of baby: Still the size of a squash but I feel like the size of a honeydew!Maternity Clothes: So far I love all of the Fall stuff I just got!
Gender: Baby Girl!
Movement: Lots and lots!
What I miss: My energy!
Cravings: I'm not really craving much of anything.
Symptoms: A lot of aches and pains going on but nothing serious!

I'm disappointed because I thought I was getting an ultrasound today but I didn't. I was looking forward to seeing how big my little monster is! My husband asked if we missed one because he thought it was today too and the receptionist said no. She said she would put us in for one so we will see if she does. I go back in 2 weeks!

Looks like everything is measuring properly and I only gained 2 pounds! Her heart rate was 145 today. The only thing I have to do is take 2 iron pills instead of one. I think I can handle that!

I'm still feeling pretty good, aside from being tired and aside from being sick. I woke up yesterday feeling very stuffy and today it's just as bad. I decided not to take any more cold medicine until I talked to the doctor. He said what the Pharmacist gave me last week was fine so I took some of that again today. It's not really doing much for me, though. Little Miss is kicking like crazy, though, so I might just stop taking it.

I'm still nervous about our house. My husband hasn't worked on anything in a week because he has been so busy! I really hope that we can knock out a few rooms in the next couple of weeks!

I'm still waiting on a ton of RSVPs from people for my husband's 30th birthday party. I'm not sure what people don't understand but it's very important to RSVP!

The wedding this past weekend was a blast. It was the longest weekend of my life but it was worth it! Friday was wedding set up and rehearsal, Saturday was the wedding and Sunday was clean up. It was a beautiful ceremony. I will admit, I got a little teary-eyed (unusual for me) when the bride came down the aisle because she was just so nervous and excited and she just looked gorgeous!

The picture taking was a bit crazy, but it always is. The reception was fantastic. I think everyone had a blast. There were so many people dancing all night long! It was a bit of a mess to clean up the next day but it was well worth it. I won't embarrass my husband any more by describing his actions all night but he had a good time too. I wish the bride and groom nothing but happiness!

I will also admit that I got a little teary-eyed at the reception. One of the guests brought her 3 week old baby. She was beautiful! She had the cutest little pink headband and she was just so tiny! And, she slept the whole time!! She wasn't bothered by any of the noise at all. But seeing that adorable little girl made me want Little Miss to hurry up and get here! Two more months!

Here is my baby bump photo of the weekend:

Now I didn't think that I was THAT big but apparently I am because I had someone else tell me this weekend about how BIG I am! Really people? It's just rude!

I'm hoping to head to my Mom's this week to go over the registry. I want to make sure I have everything I need on there. I know the invitations for the shower should be going out this week so that's exciting!

My next update will be next week at 33 weeks.

I also want to make a quick shout out to "An Ordinary Mom". Check out her blog here. She is going through a very difficult time right now with her oldest son who had a brain tumor removed recently. Please send your love to her and her family.

I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
