Friday's Letters

Linking up with The Sweet Season for Friday's Letters

Dear Friday's Letters, my bad.  I had you all written out yesterday and ready to go and then I forgot to post you!

Dear Baby Girl, I'm so sorry that you are sick, yet again.  This little cold you have is really kicking your butt.  I can't say I'm not glad I got to stay home with you Thursday, though.  I'm just anxious to find out if this little cold will push back your surgery date.

Dear Baby #2, only a few more days until we get to see you!  I'm so excited!

Dear Grey's, OMG!  You are amazing!  Every single week you are just awesome.  I won't spoil it in case people didn't watch yet but I'm so happy with this show!

Dear Shady Maple,  it looks like we will be visiting you twice in the next few days.  Please be kind and don't tempt me too much.  I have a doctor's appointment on Tuesday and I have to weigh in.  I still have zero weight gain and I'd like to keep it that way as long as possible.

Dear wedding rings, I know that you are too big now and keep falling off my finger but I don't want to get you re-sized.  Last time I was pregnant, I swelled up so badly I wasn't able to wear any of you for the majority of the pregnancy.  I don't want to do that again.

Dear kitchen, I promise I will cook in you again soon.  We have just been so busy lately that eating out has been our only option.  I have a nice meal plan for next and I plan to follow through!

Dear energy, I need more of you.  I just don't have enough to work full time, be pregnant, take care of Baby Girl, take care of the house, take care of my husband's business paperwork, keep up with friends and whatever else I may have to do.  I need a serious boost.

Dear snow storm, why do you keep missing us?  Every single week we get this crappy little snow/rain/freezing rain mixture and we never get anything big.  I'd like on big snow storm before we call it quits for the season.

Dear readers, don't forget to vote!! Will Baby #2 be a boy or a girl? Have a great weekend!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
