Five on Friday

ONE

I am in love with my Polar Fit watch.  I have been seeing this thing on Instagram and I have been wanting one so I finally got one.  It really is a great tool.

TWO

After my binge week, I cleaned up and started my diet back up along with a 10 day cleanse and a 300/30 day ab challenge.  Last I checked, which was a day ago, I had already dropped 4lbs.  In the words of Dale Doback, I'm here to fuck shit up!  (click on picture for more information)

THREE

This guy has been sleeping so well through the night.  I am so happy because I really did not see an end in sight when it came to his sleep.  If he stays awake after his last nap for the rest of the night, he sleeps even better than normal so that's our new goal.

FOUR

Two blog posts in one day?  And five in one week?  I can deal with that!  Let's see if I can keep it up.  Now that my house is mostly unpacked, I should have much more time to blog and read blogs.  I SO miss reading everyone's blogs!

FIVE

Giving a shout out to Rebecca.  She is Momma to Dylan, a squishy little guy who reminds me so much of my Chunk.  I have developed a serious friendship with this girl.  We have so much in common and so much not in common.  She is the sweetest person ever and I love talking to her.  If I were to ever travel cross country, I would make it a goal to meet her.  That's how awesome she is.  Click on her picture to check out her blog and see her beautiful family!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
