So What Wednesday

Check out Shannon at Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday.

So what if:

~I'm really into florals right now and I want a floral purse.  My husband thinks I'm nuts.

~I was highly surprised by how our taxes worked out this year.  One more stressor to take off our list.

~I am so disappointed with the lack of progress I'm having with this baby.  I know I have 3ish weeks left but with all the cramping I've been having, I thought for sure something was happening.  I was wrong.

~After months of asking, my husband finally dug the bouncy seat out of the loft only to find that it is broken.  Thank goodness for Target...I got a new one for a great price and free shipping.

~I've been taking naps with the boy every day.  I feel like I really need that nap in the middle of the day but then I can't get myself to sleep at night.

~I get so annoyed with all the 'our hearts are breaking for you' when it comes to celebrity divorces.  What about the normal people who get divorced?  Are your hearts breaking for them too?  Are you writing detailed articles about what you think is going on in their lives?  So annoying.

~I can't remember the last time I went grocery shopping.  My husband hasn't let me go in so long because I kept buying what I was hungry for instead of what we needed.  He still buys things I ask for, though, like chocolate licorice and chocolate covered donuts.

~I'm glad that this baby will be born before Summer.  I love sitting out on our patio with a nice cold alcoholic beverage at night.  And I don't want to be all pregnant and swollen over the Summer again.

~I'm having a hard time coming up with Mother's Day gifts this year.  Etsy is usually my savior and I'm sure this year won't be any different.

~I haven't installed the car seat yet.  I'm having a really hard time preparing for this baby.

What are you saying so what to?

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
