So What Wednesday

Check out Shannon at Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday.

So what if:

~I haven't really had the motivation to blog lately and I hate that.  I used to love to blog and now I struggle to find things to blog about.

~I avoid giving my kids real cups to drink out of most of the time because I can't stand the way they sound when they drink.  The slurping drives me nuts.

~I cried when I left the doctor's office Monday because she didn't even check to see if I was dilated.  Pregnancy hormones at their finest.

~I started watching Dexter.  I've never been that interested in watching it but I finally caved.  I'm into the second season and I have said 'I'm bored' on more than one occasion but I'm going to stick with it.

~I'm still not interested in The Walking Dead.

~The Minions movie was released on Netflix and the kids have been watching it non stop.  From the previews, I wasn't really sure I wanted them watching it but I've never heard them laugh at a movie the way they do at this one.

~I moved the car seats around this past weekend to get the baby seat in and now Bryan is having a fit because he wants to sit all the way in the back with his sister.

~I visited my cousin and his wife this past weekend to see their new baby.  She is the first newborn I've held since Colson.  It went better than expected.

~I bought Ashlyn a bathing suit in a girl's size and it was way too big on her.  I had to order two other sizes to see what fit her properly and now I have to return the two that don't fit.  I'm the worst at returning things.

~My person and I watched Miss You Already before she left for Virginia.  It was soooo sad but really good.

What are you saying so what to?

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
