So What Wednesday

Check out Shannon at Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday.

So what if:

~I forgot to blog AGAIN!  I'm terrible lately

~I'm not registered to vote.  I don't get involved with all the politics and I'm glad I don't.

~I'm not really sure why Hilary is even allowed to run for President.  I know, I don't get involved, but it really confuses me why people would even vote for her.

~Bryan ate a penny a couple of weeks ago.  Told me he did it.  Proudly.  Wasn't so proud when he had to sit in the kid's x-ray machine.

~It took almost a full week for him to pass said penny.  And my husband told me to save it and put it in his shadow box.  Gross.

~I'm happy that I get to watch The Voice this season but I forgot about how annoying commercials are and about how annoying Christina is.  She's just a jerk this season.

~I have the nesting urge but the napping urge usually always wins.

~This kid literally feels like he's going to fall out of me.  It feels like someone kicked me in the snatch repeatedly.  I don't remember feeling this much pressure down there this early with the other kids.

~I really love that the kids only watch TV in their playroom but that means that they destroy the playroom on the daily and they never want to help to clean it up.

~I can't eat pancakes for breakfast.  Something about them makes me sick.  I thought it was the syrup but I can eat French toast with syrup like there's no tomorrow so it's just something in the actual pancakes.

~DST wasn't as bad as I expected it to be.  The kids went to bed a little later than usual but still woke up around the same time they always do so nothing was disrupted.

What are you saying so what to?

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
