Is That Normal?!

Linking up with Justchalkintherain via Lifeafteridew for Is That Normal?!

1. Is it normal to live with your parents past the age of 24?
I'm going to say no on this one because most kids are out of college by that age so they should be able to support themselves.  Although, with how hard it is for people to find jobs anymore, I can't say I'd blame someone for living with their parents past the age of 24.  Still not normal.

2.  Is it normal to leave your house and/or car unlocked?
Absoultely not!  You just can't do it anymore.  My Dad is still living in the house he grew up in.  He said they would go to bed at night with the front and back doors wide open when he was a kid.  Now, he will flip shiznit at anyone who doesn't lock the doors!  You just can't trust it anymore, no matter where you live.  My husband learned his lesson when he forgot to lock his truck and someone stole his GPS in the middle of the night.

3.  Is it normal to prefer using a men's razor instead of a woman's?
Totally normal.  I think my husband would probably be a bit freaked out if he knew I had shaved my legs with his razor a few times but it's just so much better than a woman's razor!

4.  Is it normal to go back to bed right after showering for a quick nap?
Not so much.  I have to shower in the mornings to 'wash the sleep off' and I hate to nap right after a shower because I feel like I have to shower again after a nap.

5.  Is it normal to eat chocolate chips straight from the bag?
If you say this is not normal, there is something wrong with you!  I don't generally keep chocolate chips in the house but when I do buy a bag for baking, the bag is almost never put away.  It is always within reach and open so that I can chow down whenever I want.

6.  Is it normal to check behind the shower curtain or under the bed before you get in?
Shower curtain, yes.  You have to check for spiders!  Under the bed, not so much.  Unless you're looking for one of your animals or a little monster, why?

7.  Is it normal to talk to yourself?
Of course it is!  And if you say 'it's ok as long as you don't answer yourself,' you're nuts!  The whole point of talking to yourself is to answer yourself!  Talking to myself really helps me make decisions.  I mean, I will have serious contemplations with myself.  It all works out in the end.

8.  Is it normal to bite your nails?
No, it's actually pretty gross.  Think about all of the gross stuff that gets stuck under your nails.  And you're putting that into your mouth?  Yuck!  They make nail trimmers and nail files for a reason.

9.  Is it normal to go to bed without brushing your teeth?
No, not really.  Again, pretty gross.  Why wouldn't you want to scrub all of the crap from your day off?  Ugh and waking up the next morning?

10.  Is it normal to 'baby talk' your pet?
While I think most people would say no, I'm totally saying yes to this one.  I baby talk my pets all of the time.  I have 2 pugs.  How can I not baby talk them?  They are my fur babies after all.

My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
