Friday's Letters

I'm linking up with Adventures of Newlyweds for
Photobucket

Dear Baby Girl, thanks for being such an awesome kid this week!  It really melts Mommy's heart to hear you say Mama and you have been saying it a lot this week!  Oh and thanks for going back to sleep this morning.  Mama really needed that extra hour of sleep!

Dear daycare care givers, thanks for the adorable picture you sent me of my Baby Girl.  It is now the backdrop on my computer.  I knew there was a reason I chose you.

Dear house, I know that I have been neglecting you.  I know that you need to be cleaned and I will try my best to give you some loving this weekend.  Mama's got a lot of shit to do.

Dear ridiculous storm we got last night, thanks for hitting when you did.  I really didn't feel like sitting through my husband's softball game.

Dear Dairy Queen, you suck for not making chicken quesadillas last night during your 'support the fire department' thingy.  I love your quesadillas oh so much and was very disappointed!

Dear Captain Morgan, you are amazing.

Dear best friend, pretty friggin excited for you right now.  I can't spill the beans on here just yet but eventually I would love to blog about your adventure.

Dear bucket list, I'm getting there.  I will get some things crossed off of you.

Dear evil attitude monster, I don't know what your problem is but you're really starting to piss my husband off!  Can you please just go away?  I mean seriously.  You are causing serious dilemmas in my life.

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
