Friday's Letters

I'm linking up with Adventures of Newlyweds for
Photobucket

Dear Baby Girl, Mommy and Daddy are working very hard to get you out of daycare.  I know that place is making you sick!  I know by your runny nose and sneezing this morning that you are probably getting another cold or ear infection and I know it's because of that little boy in your room.  We are on it!

Dear daycare care givers, please keep my kid away from that kid with the ear infection.  She has been sick enough!

Dear Gabby, congratulations on your gold medal!  You rocked!  Go USA!

Dear opportunity knocking on our door, please please please....I'm begging you, work out in our favor.  We really need this.

Dear Sunday, I don't think we have any plans for your for a change and I couldn't be more happy about it.  I look forward to you so let's make it a great day!

Dear wherever I go shopping later, please be good to me.  I know that I am having issues with the baby weight but I really need some new digs and would really appreciate you helping me out with that.

Dear lost makeup bag, I am seriously lost without you and would really like for you to pop up in some unexpected place.

Dear best friend, thanks for coming to my rescue with some super cool make you had on hand.  You are a life saver!

Dear blog, I know I haven't been posting much lately and I'm sorry.  I've just been SO busy.  I haven't forgotten about you and I will get back to blogging more at some point.

Dear fountain at the mall, thanks for being patient while we forced Baby Girl to throw a penny into you for the first time.  We know she didn't care all that much be we thought it was cute.

Dear picture below, thanks for being so funny.  I don't know why, but I found you to be absolutely hilarious and you gave me a good chuckle during an otherwise boring day.  #itsthesimplethings

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
