Fitness Friday

Boy have I been OFF lately.  I was doing so well with entering all of my food and counting calories and eating healthier.  And then I fell off the wagon.  Majorly.  I'm still trying to watch what I eat but I have completely stopped entering my foods into LoseIt and I haven't started to exercise at all.  I have also been much more lenient about my meal selections lately.

I feel so off lately.  Not just with my fitness but with everything.  I'm so tired.  I can't get myself to bed before 11pm any night.  And it's my own fault.  I just have too much to do.  And I'm a little more snappy than usual.  I'm getting annoyed more easily.

I really think it's all because I have lost focus on my fitness.  I have been eating so much better than ever before and when I eat something that's not so great, it throws me off.  Not getting enough sleep is making me tired and lazy and a little more hormonal than usual.

So it's time to re-focus!  My goal is to lose 15 more pounds by Baby Girl's first birthday which is in exactly one month.  Yes, I know this is a bit aggressive but I need to get my butt in gear.

So for the next 30 days, I'm going to get myself back into my healthy eating habits and tracking my food online.  I'm going to start some kind of 30 day ab program because that's my biggest problem area.  I'm going to exercise in some way, shape or form every single day.

I'm going to lose 15lbs in the next 30 days.

And maybe this weekend I will finally go out and buy Just Dance 4 to help me!ļ»æ

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
