It was one hell of a weekend....literally.
Friday was Baby Girl's 18 month check up. She did well except for a fever of 101. I'll post more on her check up later. But that 101 fever which I attributed to teething turned into a nightmare over the weekend. The kid was a mess!
After her check up, we decided to go out for dinner. She seemed to be in a decent mood despite the fever so we thought we would be OK.
She was fine at first but she started getting cranky by the time the appetizer came and it only got worse!
She didn't want to eat any food. We stopped ordering meals for her when we go out to dinner because she doesn't eat. She usually just picks from our plate. Well she was munching on a piece of broccoli when it got stuck in her throat and she started coughing. Too bad the coughing led to throwing up.
All over Daddy.
Ew.
She was done. She wanted to go. She was clearly not feeling well at that point. So we finished up as quickly as we could with a waitress who took her sweet ass time doing everything and went home. Of course he fever was even higher so she got some Tylenol and relaxed the rest of the night.
Saturday was not much better. She had a fever when she woke up so she got Tylenol right away. Fever broke and she was good the rest of the day. Except she was clingy any winy and not eating again and she only took a 40 minute nap.
So I knew she was teething. I pumped her full of Tylenol and teething tablets for the rest of the day in hopes that she would be less cranky but it didn't help much. We decided to pack her up and take her out for a little while, hoping that would help too.
We went to visit a friend who just bought a house about 30 minutes from us. She wanted my husband to take a look at her landscaping. Baby Girl was pretty winy in the car but she seemed OK once we got there and she could run around.
Of course, she got her first big boo boo. She was wearing a dress (trying to keep her cool) and she fell on the driveway while kicking her ball. She scraped her knee open and she was bleeding. I didn't realize until the next day that she also scraped her forehead but there was no blood with that.
She cried for all of a minute and then seemed more pissed that I took her away from her ball so we left her go play again and she was fine. She started getting cranky again around the time we were ready to leave so we put PJs on her for the car ride since it was about 9pm and hoped she would fall asleep on the ride.
She fell asleep but woke up as soon as we got home and then we had this at 11pm.
She pretty much refused to go to bed. I got her to sleep eventually but it was work!
She woke up Sunday in a better mood and had no fever. I don't think I took her temperature at all Sunday but I still gave her Tylenol just in case. She was on and off all day. She was happy to be with her Nan and Pop but still gave us all a hard time at some points.
She woke up this morning happy as ever and I haven't heard a single thing from daycare.
Hopefully that tooth broke and this shit over because this was the most exhausting weekend ever with her. I cringe because I only saw one tooth coming through which means we have 3 more to go and then another set of molars.
I hate teeth.
