So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I completely forgot to post my SWW yesterday so I'm doing it today.
  • I'm blogging on my husband's iPad and I hate it!
  • I spent my first two days of not working cleaning my house.
  • I'm so excited to have Baby Girl home with me starting next week.  I really miss her when I'm home alone during the day.
  • I made a beef roast in the crock pot this week and it was so good! So good we ate the whole thing in one sitting. It was a pretty small roast.
  • I've been watching a lot of baby shows like 'I'm Having Their Baby' and 'Maternity Ward' lately.  They really make me want to meet my little man.
  • Baby Girl is going through some kind of sleep regression right now. Mommy does not like the 4:30am and 6am wake up calls. Oh and the boycott on food is getting old too.
  • I'm so excited for my baby shower this weekend. I can't wait to see everyone!
  • I can't believe I only have 6 weeks left before I meet my Little Man. While this pregnancy has been a little easier, I am so ready for it to be over!
  • I much prefer Bob over Drew on The Price is Right. Call me old fashioned.
  • All I want to do lately is sleep. This heat is killing me.

  1. Glad your getting things cleaned and done around the house. I was thinking about you Monday on your first day off work! :) Mackenzie gets up at 5am at least once while her molars are cutting.....it's the worst!! And she's in an eating phase now, but I can't stand the not eating phase! Tray a 'nibble tray' next week when your home. I just did a bunch of random things on a plate and put it in the living room. It may have taken 2 hours, but shed eat most of it. I did crackers, raisins, hot dog (she'll eat them when they are cold) pita chips. Just stuff I was ok with her having in the living room and that wouldn't go bad at room temp. I'd give her a fruit pouch too. It worked while she wasn't eating.

  2. My baby girl is just a pinch older than yours and we have been going through the same thing... She has been getting up a lot at night lately (around 1 & 6, which really stinks because my hubs works nights & I leave very early for work so neither one of us is getting sleep!), and she's also boycotting food! The past few days have been better, but I swear she didn't eat a full meal for days before that! SO frustrating!
PS - I'm with you on the Bob vs. Drew thing... I guess I'm old school too :)

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
