I had to work pretty hard to get this to work.
I saw the signs on Pinterest and loved them so I made my own. I originally tried to get a picture of both kids together with the tie breaker sign in between but that failed pretty badly. I was pretty frustrated because Bryan refused to cooperate. I got 1,000 awesome pictures of Ashlyn but barely any of Bryan.
Ashlyn is very excited and she insists there is a baby sister in my belly.
Bryan doesn't really care but his face is pretty priceless isn't it?
And I just figured that since I can pass for a 6 month preggo at 10 weeks, the belly should have a cameo as well.
I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out in the end.

I've been pretty sick so far. The past month and a half has been non stop vomiting and severe fatigue. I had my first appointment 2/20 and everything looked good. Miraculously I started feeling better just after that. I've been able to eat and have only had minimal sickness the past week so I'm hopeful the worst has passed.
Other than the sickness and giant belly I am already carrying around, everything looks good. Every morning I wake up I feel totally hungover but that usually goes away once I get up and start moving.
So far this pregnancy has been the most like Bryan's. I was pretty sick with him for a really long time into my pregnancy. So I originally thought boy but now that I'm feeling better, I'm not sure what to think! I know Ashlyn will be one very disappointed little girl if she doesn't get a baby sister!
I don't want to know the sex of the baby. I have one of each so why not let this one be a surprise? My husband, however, really wants to know. So I made a deal with him: I will have the ultrasound tech write down the sex and put it in an envelope and he has to come up with some sort of cool way to tell me what the sex is. He has agreed to this and has already come up with some kind of epic (his words) plan. I'm a little scared but we will see. We won't find out until May so we have a while to wait for that.
My first ultrasound is March 17th (St Patty's Day) so I'm pretty excited about that. I think that I will take Ashlyn with so she can see the baby just like I did when I was pregnant with Bryan.
I'm looking for C names this time around. We already have an A and a B so now I want a C. Weird? Maybe but whatever. I've already got a pretty long list for both but more suggestions are always welcome!

Now let's talk about this three babies business. I had no issues bringing Ashlyn home. I was never scared or worried about taking care of a baby. I wasn't really scared to bring Bryan home either. I knew I would adjust to life with two and I did.
This one scares me a little! Two toddlers and a newborn? That's crazy right?
You know what? I know it's going to be crazy. I know it's going to be hard. I know the toddlers are going to fight and the baby is going to cry and I'm going to feel like I'm going insane! I know we are going to have a busy house and my hands are going to be full, as everyone keeps generously pointing out to me for some reason.
But it will pass. We will adjust. And we will thrive.
I am excited to have three kids who are all so close in age. I'm excited to see what kinds of bonds form between them all. I'm excited to see them all play together, all learn together. Ashlyn has been such a good big sister and I know she will love having a baby in the house.
So I'm excited. I'll post an update after the next appointment.
