Ten Months

The basics?

Diapers - Size 4 but using cloth more and more
Clothing - 12-18 month
Food - Everything and anything!  Eating more regular foods every day.
Sleeping - Through the night!
Teeth - Eight chompers with the possibility of one or two more
Words - ba ba, da da, ma ma
Favorite toy - Activity cube, anything he's not supposed to play with

Well since I just posted his 9 month update, I'll make this one a little shorter.

Not much has changed with this little guy.  He's still wearing 12-18 month clothing.  He's still wearing size 4 diapers and I'm still transitioning to cloth.  He's been eating well, as usual.  He's still sleeping really well.  Naps depend on the day.  Sometimes he takes two shorter naps and sometimes he takes one long one.

He still loves bath time and has been loving all of the time we've been spending in the pool.  He loves to splash.  He's a speed crawler and has been pulling up on everything he can.  He will walk if you hold his hands now too.

He is constantly saying da da and ma ma now.  I'm pretty sure he says ba ba and then waves as if to say bye bye but I'm not sure about that one.  He does open and close his hands to wave now.

Pictures of my sweet Little Boy:

Little Dude, you are so much trouble!  You are so curious and I love watching you explore!  Cleaning up your messes isn't so bad when you're so cute about making them!  You like to open the kitchen cabinet drawers and then you close them on your fingers.  Ouch!  But you also like to hit the pots and pans with the kitchen utensils!

You and your sister are becoming inseperable.  The two of you play together a lot now.  Sometimes you are nice to each other and sometimes you are not.  I laugh when you fight but I know some day that will drive me crazy!  Your sister is so sweet to you sometimes and you always look at her with such love.

You give the sweetest hugs and the sloppiest kisses and I love it all!  I can't believe that in two short months we will be celebrating your first birthday.

  1. I just love him and am so happy you do these updates! He has grown quicker than other babies, why do these boys rush the baby process along?! I cant believe he's going to be a year soon. The bond he's forming with his sister is so obvious in their pictures, those two are inseparable! And yes, it's so much easier to clean up the mess when they're cute about it lol

SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
