So What Wednesday

Check out Shannon at Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday.

So what if:

~I've been on and off with blogging.  It's about every other week that I post only my SWW post and every other week I post an answer to a question or two.  It's still more blogging then I've been doing this past year.

~I am completely done with Christmas shopping!  Now I just have to wait patiently for everything to arrive so I can wrap it.

~The kids have been acting insane lately.  Running around the house like wild animals, screaming at each other, hitting each other, fighting non stop.  This better just be a little phase they are going through because, otherwise, Mama is going to need a lot of gift cards to the liquor store.

~I LOVE our new furniture!!!  I'm so happy we got it.  I wish it was a little smaller because I like open space but it really looks nice.

~I'm a little disappointed by our Christmas card this year.  I love the picture and I love the card design but the photo quality is not as good as I'd hoped it would be.

~My husband skipped a day of hunting last weekend to stay home and do some projects around the house.  It was nice to get some things done but we still have a ways to go with little projects.

~I still have not gotten a hair cut.  I'm actually thinking of cutting it shorter and donating but I need to find a good organization to donate to.  I've heard locks of love makes people pay for the wigs they make and I don't like that at all.

~Ashlyn turns FOUR today!!!!  How did we go from itty bitty to ferocious four year old so quickly?

What are you saying so what to?

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
