Commenting Challenge: Day 5 - Last Day!!

Today's Topic:

Tell us about your dream vacation!

Where would you go? Have you been there before? Who would go with you? What about it draws you in?

This is the easiest question for me to answer!!  I have always wanted to go to Italy.  I can't remember how old I was but I remember thinking how cool it was that you had to travel by Gondola in some places.  That's what really drew me in.  I just thought it was so romantic.  And then as I got older, I realized that there was so much history in Italy.  So many beautiful buildings to see.  So many amazing cities to visit.

I mean, just look at all of the amazing things you can see!!!!

Florence

Venice

Verona

Naples

Milan

Rome

This would be my dream vacation.  Of course I hate to fly so the 8-10 hour flight would really suck but they serve alcohol on the planes right?  HA!  I also always feel so out of my element whenever we go somewhere far away.  When my huband and I were younger, we did an all inclusive trip to Mexico.  While we both agree it was our best vacation ever, I felt SO out of place.  I felt the same way when we went to St. Thomas on our honeymoon last year.  We had a GREAT time but I felt so strange being away from home.

Realistically, I would just love to go anywhere right now.  We could really use some kind of vacation, even if it's just a 2 hour trip to the beach for the weekend.  That's one of the great things about living in Metro Philadelphia....you can get to the beach pretty quickly.  I think the time of us going to Italy is over for now.  I want to go places with my kids and I want us to experience new things as a family.

What's your dream vacation?

I had a great time participating in this commenting challenge and I found some really great blogs to follow!  I am thankful for all of the people who commented on my pages and who are now following me.  I look forward to getting to know you all better!

  1. I would TOTALLY go to Italy too...but the language barrier scares me. I would hate to be lost or need something and not be able to communicate.

I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
