So What Wednesdays

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • If Baby Girl spends almost all of her time in her new bouncer.  She really loves that thing and I get shit done!
  • My husband and I decided to take a 'me' day Sunday which turned into an 'everyone else' day.
  • I'm still sick.
  • I haven't slept through the night in like 5 weeks, 2 of which are because I'm sick, and not because of Baby Girl
  • I still haven't packed away the bassinet.  I haven't made her sleep in it at all this week so it's ok.
  • I already gave my husband one of his Father's Day gifts.  I was just too excited about it!
  • I know the only thing my husband really wants for Father's Day is to sleep and I went ahead and scheduled a full day of events for us.  It's his first Father's Day!
  • I'm getting my Dad a grill for Father's Day even though it's really for my Mom because she wants a new grill.  My Dad is never home to grill anything anyway!
What are you saying so what to this week?

    1. I never expected her to be so content in that thing! I constantly poke my head in the room hoping she will be looking for me but she never is!

  3. my daughter HATED the bouncer and then out of the blue...LOVED it and wanted to be in it all the time. It was such a radical change from the screaming she used to do. ahhhh but that was so long ago, I miss having a sweet baby - time for another? I think so!!! hahaha

    1. Yes my daughter wasn't a fan of the stationary one we bought her. You know the ones with the round saucers on the bottom? But she loves the Rainforest one that actually bounces. I can't get her out of it!

  4. I am still over here trying to think of Father's Day gifts for my hubs. I'm thinking the sleep idea would be great for him (and me, for that matter!)

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
