Friday's Letters

Linking up with The Sweet Season for Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl, I'm sorry that you haven't been able to spend much time with Daddy the past few days but he is very sick and we don't want you to catch his sickness so that means you have to stay away.  The good news is that you get to go to your second hockey game tomorrow night!

Dear husband, I am sorry that I have been treating you as if you have the plague but I really don't want to catch your sickness and I certainly don't want Baby Girl to catch it. Let's hope you get over it quickly!

Dear Grey's, ah you did not disappoint.  What an awesome and sad episode.  I think I may have missed an episode somewhere along the lines, though, so I will have to check my DVR.

Dear Parenthood, I have missed you. I honestly just keep forgetting when you're on. I will catch up on the missed episodes and be prepared for you next week.

Dear Scandal, I've missed quite a few of your episodes too but last night you had me so hooked.  I can't wait to see what happens next.

Dear Lisa, I wish you well in the next phase of your life.  I am going to miss our conversations and can only hope that we stay in touch.  Good luck my Minnesota friend!

Dear fellow bloggers, I apologize for my little 'all you people who don't reply to comments are jerks' rant I went on last week.  I was told, yet again, by Jennifer at Part of That World, that I was in no-reply blogger mode.  While I still think people are rude for not answering comments, I think maybe my no-reply may have had a little something to do with the lack of responses lately.

Dear Friday, I'm loving all of the cool link up and blog hops you have going on.  Here's to new blog friendships!

Dear readers, I hope you all have a great weekend!  Check out my Pay it Forward post.  Only two slots left!  Who doesn't want to received something cute and random in the mail?

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
