Randoms

I just wanted to share a few randoms.  Things that I didn't get to share in any of my other posts in the past few weeks.  Fun stuff!

I mentioned that we were taking Baby Girl to her first hockey game and that she loved it!  We know that she wasn't actually following the game but she was watching like a hawk.  She got antsy a few times but for the most part she was awesome.  She was even yelling at the players!  She didn't like the mascot at all and she even took a nap in the middle of the game!

We kind of figured she would like hockey since at only 2.5 months old, she sat quietly and watched an entire game with Daddy!

This was after seeing the mascot :(

And then she took a nap!

Baby Girl has decided that she wants to climb up on everything.  She climbed her little butt right up onto our one step footstool.  Don't worry, Daddy was right next to her.

Chillin in her zebra chair

She decided that she was going to take every gift box and bag out of my organizer and spread them all over the living room.  She played with this stuff for like an hour!

And she loves those Hallmark Snowmen!

Baby Girl with her Nana on Nana's birthday!

The birthday celebration really tired her out!

We spent New Year's with friends.  Even though their daughter was in bed, Baby Girl was happy to stay awake until after midnight!

This was at our final family Christmas dinner which we just had his past Sunday.

Thanks for checking out all of my randoms!

  1. Mackenzie sits through hockey games with my husband. He lets her play with his hockey sticks too. Needless to say he will have her on the ice when she turns 2 and is already looking to get her, her own hockey stick. :)
    Love the pictures!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
