So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I almost completely forgot to do my SWW post!  I love this post!
  • I have 7 other drafted blog posts that I just don't have time to finish right now.  We have just been so busy!
  • Baby Girl has been waking up a few times a night because she wants her pacifier.  I assume she is teething and that's why she wants it?  Mama Grizz is tired.
  • I stayed up late last night just to watch the US gymnastics team take the gold.  It's really the only Summer Olympics sport I like to watch.
  • I haven't hardly taken any pictures of Baby Girl lately.  She never sits still anymore!
  • I lost my makeup bag.  All of my makeup essentials...gone.  That's what I get for always putting my makeup on in the car.  I won't learn my lesson and I will take a new makeup bag with me in the car and hope not to lose that one.
  • I painted Baby Girl's toes.  Too.Cute.

  • I am continuing the countdown for Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2. 107 days to go. I am RIDICULOUSLY excited (and sad because I know the saga is ending).

What are you saying so what to this week?

  1. Love the toes! Do you use a certain kind of polish? I always wonder since they tend to eat their hands and feet.

I would DIE if I lost my makeup! I get a panic attack if I go out of town or something and think for a split second that I forgot my makeup bag!

    1. Thanks! I just used my regular polish since this was the first time but I will be looking into special polish. Fortunately my little one doesn't really stick her toes in her mouth but she chews on her fingers all of the time so I won't paint them!

Yes, I was devastated!! It's amazing how something so simple can be so important!

    2. Just wanted to follow up with this. They make something called Piggy Paint. It's a water based nail polish that is non-toxic and you can get it at Wal-Mart!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
