So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I haven't had any time to read any of my blogs and I'm seriously bummed about it.  I loved reading my blogs every day and I'm missing it!
  • I haven't posted a single thing besides my SWW and Friday's letters.  Hopefully I will have time tomorrow to post something!
  • My Baby Girl turns 8 months old tomorrow.  I can't believe I have an 8 month old.  I can't believe that in 4 months, I will have a 1 year old.
  • My husband FINALLY agreed to a weekend away!  Yes, we are taking Baby Girl with us but I'm ok with that.  I think we are going to Baltimore for the weekend.  I can't wait to take her to the aquarium.
  • My house is a MESS.  I really just don't have enough time in a day.
  • I went out and bought all new makeup and my best friend gave me a bunch she never used since my makeup bag was lost forever....and then my husband (of all people) found my makeup bag.
  • I turned all of Baby Girl's 6 month dresses into shirts by putting pants underneath because they are too short on her.  Baby clothes are friggin expensive and they just grow so fast!
  • I was able to go to the nearby Carters outlet and get her just about everything she needs for the rest of the summer (almost a whole new wardrobe) for about $110.  I love Carters!
  • Baby Girl is a bit of a tech freak already.  This is her trying to steal my phone:

Last picture I snapped before she snatched the phone

  • I am continuing the countdown for Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2. 100 days to go. I am RIDICULOUSLY excited (and sad because I know the saga is ending).

What are you saying so what to this week?

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
