So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • We leave for the beach in two days and I am not even a little packed or prepared.  I still have a long list of items needed before we I can even think about packing.
  • I'm sortof kindof nervous about our first trip with Baby Girl.  I know we are only traveling about 3 hours away but there are so many what ifs when traveling with babies!
  • I totally filled up my loofah with hair conditioner instead of soap in the shower this morning.  I came out smelling like a nice strawberry cucumber melon fruit cocktail.
  • I can't decide what to do about Baby Girl's first birthday.  Go Big or Stay Home?
  • The only thing I have decided on is her first birthday outfit.

Ridiculously Adorable!

  • My Mom got mad at me when I showed her the first birthday outfit because I said no to this frilly dress.
No thank you!

  • All I can think about is having another baby!  Ladies, your birth stories and baby announcements and gender reveals are not helping me at all!
  • My Facebook page was blown up with pictures of kids on their first day of school.  I love you and I love your kids but I'm over it.  I don't need a reminder of what's to come.
  • I am continuing the countdown for Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2.  79 days to go. I am RIDICULOUSLY excited (and sad because I know the saga is ending).

What are you saying so what to this week?

  1. In love with that birthday outfit. Pregnant with #2 (just found out!) and really hoping for a girl so I can buy cute outfits like that. Boys are fun, but not as fun to dress!

    1. Thanks! I love it! The only bad part about having a girl is that you want to buy EVERYTHING because it's all so cute!! Congrats on baby #2!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
