Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl, I think the boycott is finally over.  You have been eating like a champ all week.  I've never seen a kid at so much fruit before.  You just gobble it up!

Dear Baby #2, only a few more weeks until I get to see your adorable little face.  We still have a few things to do to prepare but we are pretty much ready for you!

Dear baby shower, you were awesome!  I'm so grateful for all of the people who came to share in our excitement for Baby Boy!

Dear work, so far...I don't miss you.  Not one bit.

Dear Kate, I'm glad you had your baby and that all is well but I'm over it.  No offense but I really just don't understand why we are taking such a interest in you and your family.

Dear blog, I know I have been slacking lately.  I've just been so busy with Baby Girl and preparing for Little Man and keeping up with housework and trying to organize my husband's business.  I promise I will get into a groove and start blogging more regularly again soon!

Dear readers, Have a good weekend!

  1. Same here with eating!!! Tay has been eating great again. They must be on the same schedule. Hopefully our little guys are on the same (GOOD) schedule too!

  2. Yay for baby boy's arrival! And for baby girl eating! Mackenzie is boycotting again. She won't even eat yogurt or applesauce anymore...something she'd always eat no matter what!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
