So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I am nothing but tired lately. All I want to do is sleep all the time. I don't remember the last few weeks being this exhausting the last time.
  • I am 37 weeks today which means I am full term. That also means this kid can come at any time. The sooner the better Little Man.
  • I still haven't written a post about my baby shower. I didn't post my 36 week bumpdate last week either. I really need to get back on track.
  • I am so excited that we finally ordered all of the rest of Little Man's stuff. Now we just have to wait for it all to get here and hope he doesn't arrive before his stuff does!
  • Even though it got some bad reviews, my husband and I really want to see Red 2. We thought the first one was hilarious. Maybe we are due for a quick date night before the baby comes.
  • I'm still waiting for my Coach purse replacement.
  • The wedding we went to this past weekend was absolutely beautiful. Everything was just perfect and the bride and groom were adorable!
  • My grandmother watched our pugs for us this past weekend in exchange for a few dinners at Cracker Barrel. I think we can handle that.
  • My pregnancy app says that my weight gain has reached excessive. I'm 37 weeks and I've gained 23 pounds total. Is that really excessive?

  1. I haven't heard of Red 2 but if it is in the theatre don't do it!!! You will be so sore and uncomfortable from trying to sit still for that long. Trust Me! And I don't think that 23 lbs is excessive at all.

  2. If 23 lbs at 37 weeks is excessive, your pregnancy app would blow up because of me. I'm on track to gain close to 40. I gained 40 with Taylor too. EEK.

  3. I gained 30 & I was alright with that. So was my doctor. The Internet is being mean.

  4. Um, I think the pregnancy apps are a little strict on weight gain! I say 23 is great! I gained 50 with Mackenzie and most of it was at the end and it was water weight. Thankfully my doctor then never said anything. :o)
I'd be calling coach and asking what's up! I'm really tired these days too! Erin says I was this tired with Mackenzie, but I don't remember.
    GO on that date! :o)

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
