So What Wednesday

Life After I Dew

This week, I'm saying So What if...
  • I have 11 blog posts drafted but not finished.
  • I posted Little Man's birth story but no updates since. I will work on that this week.
  • I've never seen a baby sweat as much as my son.
  • I never got a replacement purse from Coach. Instead, they sent me a gift card for what the purse was worth. So I got another purse! It's my favorite one yet.
  • I'm so sick of the weird weather. It's September and it's hot and humid. Yuck!
  • I can't wait until we get the double stroller we finally ordered so I can start taking the kids for walks.
  • It's weird saying kids. I have two kids.
  • Baby Girl has mastered the skill of selective hearing. Drives me crazy!
  • Baby Girl takes all of my Scentsy bars out of the cabinet and makes everyone smell them.
  • I was really nervous about taking both kids to Little Man's appointment on Monday but it wasn't that bad. Baby Girl was verbs well behaved so that helped.
  • I can't wait to go to some Fall festivals.

  3. Mackenzie has selective hearing. It drives me insane! I hope she gets a handle on it before baby boy gets here in December.
I'm actually hoping that by taking Mackenzie to baby boys doctors appointments and she's not bothered by the nurses/doctors that she may start to 'like' the doctors office. I'm terrified to take her in for a flu shot this year. She sees someone in scrubs and starts to scream! :/

  4. lol, what is with sweaty little boys? My son was born with the clammiest feet and he has become sweatier as time passes, soaking his carseat. Ew! lol

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
