Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl, we are about to celebrate your 2nd birthday and Mommy is just a little sad about that.  It feels like just yesterday you were the size of your baby brother but here you are, my little (almost) two year old.  You are more amazing every single day and I couldn't be more proud to call you my daughter.

Dear Little Man, I think we might be getting on track with your sleeping.  I don't want to talk about it because every time I do, you have some set backs so all I will say is keep it up buddy.

Dear Christmas, only a few more weeks.  I can't wait!

Dear Parenthood, where are you?  I haven't seen you in like two weeks.  Was the election episode the finale?  If it was, you could have warned me!

Dear family photos, I got a sneak preview of you and I can't wait to see the rest.  Even though the kids weren't the most cooperative, I think we got some great photos.  Can't wait to get our Christmas card sent out! (If you are a blog friends and would like a real live Christmas card from us, please email me with your address so I can add you to my list!)

Dear Black Friday, you weren't nearly as bad as I expected you to be.  Thanks for the deals.

Dear Tessanne, I'm routing for you!  You better win The Voice or I'm going to be pissed!

Dear Rebecca, thank you so much for the shout out on your blog.  I LOVE reading your blog and I LOVE seeing new pics of your baby boy.  Check her out at Diz Mommy.

Dear readers, Have a good weekend!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
