So What Wednesday

Life After I Dew

So what if we have two vacuum cleaners and neither of them work right now.

We bought a brand new vacuum cleaner about a month after we moved into our new house.  We figured new house, new vacuum.  Plus the new house has a lot of carpet and our old vacuum was just not efficient enough.

So we bought this.

And I actually really like it.  I love that the canister comes off and that I can easily carry it up the stairs.

What I don't love is that it stopped working.  The canister and hose still work so my husband just think it's a belt but really?  I've only been using it for a month.  And I've already broken or slipped a belt?

I do vacuum a lot.  At least every other day in some rooms.  The boy rolls all over the floor now and the girl likes to lay on the floor to watch TV so I like to keep it clean.

The other vacuum we have (the older one) doesn't work either.  I think that's because it needs a new filter,  The vacuum just stops working when the filter is done.  It's dumb but I will say that we have owned that vacuum a long time and haven't changed the filter once.

So I'm vacuum-less for now.  But on a positive note, at least I have a need for a vacuum.  At least I have carpet and a house and all that good stuff.

What kind of vacuum do you have?  Is there one brand that you swear by?

  1. We have a Dyson, but I'm going to be honest and tell you that I rarely use it! We have a house keeper come every other week, and my hubby does the vacuuming in the interim. We keep a dustbuster fully charged in our kitchen for quick vacuum jobs (mostly due to the kids).

But my hubby loves the Dyson and swears by it.

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and
