Linking up with Mandy from Mommy Musings for

My last post was basally an advertisement for Loseit.com.  I am still using Loseit every day and I am now down 12lbs!  The one thing I hate about Loseit?  How honest it is.

Ya think maybe I drink too much?
In any case, the calorie counting is going well and I have stayed under my calories every week!  Now it's time to start adding some regular exercise to my schedule.  I exercise whenever I feel like it right now.  And I do a lot of house cleaning and I chase a baby around a lot so that helps.

I had some motivation in the beginning to take Baby Girl with me for walks a few days a week.  It was easy because there is a beautiful park on my way home from work.  Now that it's getting colder outside, it's harder to do that.  I hate exercising at a gym so that's out.

So, I think I have found a solution.  I get to exercise at home and have tons of fun while doing it.  It may even entertain the little one.  And when she really starts walking, she can even do it with me!

Oh.Yea.
This is going to be awesome.  I have Just Dance 2 at home but that's lame.  This one is going to rock!

Songs I'm most excited about:
Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen
The Time Warp - Halloween Thrills
So What - Pink
Rock N' Roll - Skrillex
Rock Lobsters - B52's

I think I'm going to start a Just Dance weigh loss revolution.  Hopefully we can pick it up this weekend and I can start the dancing on Monday, when my husband isn't around to watch and make fun of me!  I'll keep you posted!

  2. Great Job on the Weight loss! I was just thinking about starting back up tracking my fitness/weight loss on the blog. I'm the exact same way where the calorie counting is easier than finding the time/motivation to exercise. Videos just don't work for me because it makes it too easy for me to quit half way through. I'm trying to add in walking the neighborhood since then I won't be able to quit until I make it back to the house. Love the song options on the game though- reminds me I need to update my playlists for my walks.

    1. Thanks! I am really proud of how much I have changed my eating habits because of tracking calories. But you're right about the videos. It's too easy to quit. That's why I do a lot of house cleaning...burns a ton of calories!

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
