Linking up with Adventures of Newlyweds for

Photobucket

Dear Baby Girl, another cold?  I mean seriously?  Will you ever be healthy?  Mommy still loves you and really enjoys the increase in cuddle time lately.  And while Mommy and Daddy are very impressed with how many words you are already saying, we are so excited that you finally started crawling.  Yay for you!

Dear Breast Cancer Awareness, you rock!  I love that your color is pink, and since pink is my favorite color, I get to buy cool pink things in honor of you.  I went pink for October!

Dear Person, thanks for going pink with me.

Dear photographer, thanks for the pictures!  They are so adorable!  I know it helps that my Baby Girl is a little angel but you really do a great job and are so patient.

Dear recreation center, please be available for Baby Girl's first birthday party.  You are my last option so PLEASE throw me a friggin bone!

Dear Sons of Anarchy, I have stopped watching you because #1 you are have become too gruesome for me #2 you killed off the best character on the show!  RIP Opie!

Dear Grey's Anatomy, I'm still disappointed in you so far.  Last night's episode was a little better but why are you so all over the place?  Just tell us the story!

Dear diet, we have done well so far.  Let's keep it up.

Dear blog, while I still haven't gotten around to re-designing you, I have at least been posting more.  This is my sixth link up this week!  Yay for me!

Dear readers, have a great weekend!

  1. SOA is gruesome and I'm totally bummed they killed off Opie - and I always say I'm never gonna watch again - then I do - because it's soo good. And I love Jax. A lot.

Love the PINK! Way to show some support :)

Kudos on doing well with your diet!!

    Have a great weekend!

    1. A friend has been filling me on what's been going on this season and I just can't watch it.

Thanks! My Grandmother is a BC survivor. Stay tuned for a whole post on that.

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
