So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying so what if...

  • I heard the loudest crack of thunder ever this morning and it scared the shit out of me. I literally had to check my pants for poo. Better than any other alarm clock I've ever had, that's for sure.
  • I almost vomited when I saw Kim K's dress at the Met Gala.  Did she not look in the mirror before she left the house?  Who told her that dress looked good?
  • I'm pretty sure we are starting to go through the terrible two's.  Kid can scream and throw a tantrum like nothing I've ever seen.
  • Baby Girl is never allowed to have ice cream again.  Well, at least not right before we go grocery shopping.  Girl was a maniac!
  • I can't wait to go to the doctor tomorrow.  Even though I know it will be a five minute appointment, I feel like I haven't been there in forever and I can't wait to hear my little man!
  • My 3D ultrasound is scheduled for June 2nd!  I can't wait!
  • I'm kind of depressed about my husband's lack of planning skills.  I mean I give him detailed instructions on how to buy my Mother's Day gift and he doesn't do it!  And my 30th birthday?  That will probably be a bust too.
  • Baby Boy has the biggest appetite.  I can't stop eating.  I never feel full.  I am not looking forward to the scale tomorrow that's for sure.
  • Our brand new neighbor, who we have literally known for five minutes, offered to babysit for us.  She had alcohol on her breath when she offered and my husband said he saw her boyfriend hiding a pot pipe.  No thank you.
  • Even though I was in bed by 10pm last night, I am still tired.  I just can't ever get enough sleep!
  • I told my boss that I've 'checked out' already.  Maybe it will push him to find a repalcement faster.

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
