So What Wednesdays

So What Wednesday
This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I haven't blogged much lately.  I've been in a bit of a rut.  I'm sure I'll get out of it soon.
  • I am ridiculously excited that my new job starts in June sometime.  I can't wait to be a SAHM!
  • Baby Girl was sick all last week and stayed home two days because of it .  Fortunately she was feeling better over the weekend.
  • My morning sickness decided to rear it's ugly head the past few days as well.  I'm starting to feel a little better now and I am hoping it was just a fluke.
  • I painted my nails Monday and it all chipped off Tuesday throughout the day.  I've never been able to keep polish on my fingernails.
  • I feel like I haven't had a check up in forever.  I don't go back until next Thursday!  23 week bumpdate will follow.
  • I turn 30 in a month.  Not too excited about it.
  • I have told my husband that he is expected to throw me some kind of party for my 30th.  Not sure how he's going to do that with how busy he is.
  • I had a dream last night that I gave birth to a full size toddler boy.  I wonder how big this little man is going to be!
  • Monday night was the first night my husband had off in a month.  He is working way too much.
  • I can't wait until the end of the month because we get a paid Monday off.
  • People are actually giving me shit about naming our son Bryan II.  They say they don't know what to call him since they can't call him Jr.  Um...his name is Bryan.  Try that.
  • I only have four months left until I get to meet my little man.  I know it's going to fly by.

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
