So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I haven't posted many blogs lately.  I've been busy.
  • The blogs I am posting are mostly link ups.  I do feel like I'm linking up too much so I will have to work on that.
  • I'm smacking myself in the head for scheduling a meeting with a lady regarding my husband's business tonight.  SYTYCD is on and I plan to blow up my Twitter account with tweets about who should stay and who should go.
  • Baby Girl has a double ear infection and a terrible cold.  Baby coughs make me sad :(
  • We still have no food in the house.  We suck!
  • I finally finished The Hunger Games but have no time to actually see the movie.  So I'll wait for it to come out on Showtime, DVR it and then never watch it.
  • Baby Girl's second word was Nana.  Her third was Mama!
  • My 'cycle' is really kicking my ass.  Two good weeks, two bad weeks.  Can't we just get pregnant already?  At least when I'm pregnant I know I'll be cranky all of the time and it won't be up and down like it is now!
  • My husband keeps trying to wake me up at 6:30AM because we are adults now and we need a routine.  Says who?
  • I am continuing the countdown for Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2. 121 days to go. I am RIDICULOUSLY excited (and sad because I know the saga is ending).

What are you saying so what to this week?

Go link up with Shannon at Life After I Dew!

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
