Friday's Letters

Linking up with Adventures of Newlyweds for

Photobucket

Dear Baby Girl, you spent the night at Nana's house last Friday and you have proven, once again, how amazing you really are!  You were such a good girl and you slept like a little champ for Nana.  I see many sleepovers in your future.

Dear people who don't turn on red when it's perfectly ok, you make me want to punch you in the face.  Seriously?  If there is no sign that says No Turn on Red, that means you can turn on red and you should do so.  Don't hold up the line.

Dear Fall, I'm so glad you're here and that you're bringing cooler weather with you.  I especially love all of the adorable Fall clothing I got to buy for Baby Girl because of you!

Dear Cracker Barrel, I can't wait to visit you on Sunday.  I really hope your store is filled with adorable Fall and/or Christmas decorations for me to buy.  Please don't disappoint me.

Dear Husband, be prepared.  I will want to buy EVERYTHING!

Dear diet, so far so good.  Let's keep it up.

Dear photographer, I can't wait to get our pictures back!  I think we had a really good shoot on Sunday and I am expecting tons of adorable pictures of Baby Girl just like the first time!

Dear The Voice, I'm so happy you're back and that I have something really awesome to watch now.  I really like the Indy sound so I have a new favorite:

Dear Cyrus, you did not win and that makes me very sad.  This is the second time that I got my hopes up for a dancer on SYTYCD and the second time my dancer lost.

Dear everyone reading this, don't forget to Vote for Ashlyn!!!!!  Only 4 more days to vote!!!  Entry ID 46755.

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
