So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • My husband and I went to one of our favorite restaurants for our Anniversary and it kindof sucked.  We made the best of it but we won't be going back for a while.
  • I finally wrote Baby Girl's 9 month post but I left out some really cute details.  I will be posting a smorgasbord of thoughts at some point.
  • We have now decided to go big for the one year birthday.  And so the planning begins (*evil grin*).
  • I am so ridiculously excited for my Mommy date with Monika Saturday night!!  The Daddies get together and watch the babies while the Mommies go to dinner.  It's magical.
  • We are going to Cracker Barrel for dinner on Sunday night for my Grandmother's birthday and I am ridiculously excited because their store will be filled with Fall stuff for me to buy!  I love their Fall and Christmas decorations!
  • I just bought Baby Girl a TON of clothing from Carter's but still seem to be scrambling to put outfits together for her.  The up and down weather we've been having does not help.
  • I am so happy The Voice is back but am now seriously pissed that Cee Lo and Christina are not going to be on next season.  They are being replaced by Usher and Shakira?  It will never be the same.
  • I am SO over Lindsay Lohan.  I'm just tired of hearing about her.  I mean, do people really give a shit about her crazy F'd up life?
  • I am continuing the countdown for Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2.  58 days to go. I am RIDICULOUSLY excited (and sad because I know the saga is ending).

What are you saying so what to this week?

Cheerios Stands

So when I logged onto my computer this morning, the first article that caught my attention was this one ( Cheerios Stands ) about a new commercial Cheerios has out.  They are getting a ton of negative feedback for this commercial and I'm just not understanding why. So basically, people are upset because this is a white mother, a black father and a biracial child.  What's the big deal? I know that it isn't a common thing to see in a TV commercial but what's the big deal?  I really don't think that biracial couples are uncommone these days so I'm not really understanding why they are getting such negative feedback for this commercial.  I give a ton of props to Cheerios/General Mills for not pulling the ad.  They could do that and that would be easy and would end the negativity but they are not going to do that.  Good for you.  There is no reason why this ad should not be aired. By the way, I think the commercial is cute and funny and I proba...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...
