So What Wednesday

So What Wednesday

This week, I'm saying so what if...
  • I didn't realize that Baby Girl's fever last week was due to two molars cutting.  Girl has got some serious baby teeth.
  • Baby Girl has a double ear infection.  It doesn't seem to effect her in any way.
  • I have a nasty cold.  Too bad I don't have the same attitude as Baby Girl.
  • I'm really hoping the hubs doesn't get sick too.  He's is a BIG baby when he is sick and I just don't have the energy to deal with that right now.  (No offense hubs)
  • Baby Girl's first birthday is only 5 days away and I'm nowhere near ready for it.
  • Everyone decided to RSVP at the last minute, as usual.
  • I'm about to pull a shameless plug for my first co-host blog link up! Go check it out and link up!  Favorite Blogs Link Up
  • My husband bought LED lights for the outside of our house and he actually put them up.  It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house!
  • I'm inspired by all of the beautiful DIY things I see on Pinterest but I just don't have the time to do any of them.
  • I'm kind of mad that Amanda was sent home on The Voice.  I mean, she wasn't my favorite but I really thought she'd make it to the end.  Go Terry!
  • I'm getting a lot of strange looks from people when I tell them that Baby Girl isn't going to meet Santa....ever.  Leave it alone.
  • I got a new phone....and it's not an iPhone....and I love it.
  • My husband got himself the iPad Mini and I think he spends more time with it than he does with me.  It's a match made in heaven.

  1. Hope babygirl feels better. You too.

Question: what will you do if she wants to meet Santa one day? I always wonder that.

I couldn't belive Amanda got sent home either! I wasn't a huge fan of Melanie - but Amanda is better than a few that survived!

  5. Awww, it's okay. I never believed in Santa. I always tried to catch the tooth fairy though and never did catch her putting the $1 bill under my pillow. :) PS: I LOVE the Voice - your carabox buddy, Alexis

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
