Google Reader

So I keep seeing that everyone is moving to Bloglovin because Google Reader is being discontinued.  Here's the thing...I don't use Google Reader.  Am I the only one?  I just read my blogs as they are listed on my blog list.

See??  I just read them on my Blogger reader.  Is that weird?  Am I the only one who does this?  If I continue to do this, I'm not really affected by the Google Reader change, right?  People signing up for Bloglovin are only doing so to more easily read their favorite blogs, right?

  1. The difference with Google Reader and Bloglovin' compared to reading it straight from Blogger is that it tells you how many unread blogs you have and shows you those posts.

  2. I actually read my blogs the exact same way. I am going ahead and putting myself both on bloglovin and networked blogs for other people's convenience however. I'm a little confused by it all because I often use the "GFC" option to subscribe to blogs which then puts them on my blogger feed, so is this not going to work any more and are all the blogs that I subscribed to this way going to disappear from my blogger feed with GFC goes away? I don't know, but it is worrisome so I'm going through and adding people onto my bloglovin' and networked blogs accounts just in case there is some sort of blog Apocalypse.

  3. Well since being new to all of this, I assumed I needed to shift all my blog I follow to Bloglovin but after reading this and seeing your screen shot I do the same exact thing as you. I am super confused by this and really don't know what the heck is going on. I guess I am blogger stupid!

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
