Inspiring Blog Award

Jennifer at Life As I Know It nominated me for the

I tell you seven random fact about me and then nominate 15 other bloggers who will hopefully do the same.

Seven Random Facts:  (different from the Liebster award facts)

-On the rare occasion that I eat waffles, I always eat two, one with butter and sugar and one with butter and syrup.  It's just a weird habit.

-I think ranch dressing is gross but I like ranch flavored things, like Cool Ranch Doritos.

-It's not worth it for me to order a sub from anywhere because I don't like all of the extra crap they put on it.  I like ham and mayo.  That's it.  (I will order a sub once in a while, though, because there is just something different about the taste that you just can't get with a homemade sandwich)

-I can literally feel my heart ache whenever I think about my daughter and her first dance recital or learning to drive or going to prom.  Can't she just stay little forever?

-Whenever I find shoes that I actually like, I always buy them in brown and black.  I have left the house with one of each color on my feet before.

-I'm not a big fan of shopping anymore.  I used to be.  I used to love hunting stores for the best bargains.  Now?  I like to order online.  It's a win for all because shopping online doesn't make me want to punch other idiot shoppers in the face.

-While I strongly believe in disciplining your child, I don't believe in doing it in front of others.  By all means, spank that little heathan's butt, but please do it in the bathroom where I can't see you and silently judge you from afar.

My nominees:
I am nominating EVERYONE! I don't care how big or small your blog is. Everyone deserves to know how great their blog is.

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
