Friday's Letters, the PS Edition

Dear Baby Girl, even when you are napless and cutting your last set of molars, you are still an amazing child.  Only a few more teeth left to go and you are in the clear.  PS thanks for loving on your brother so much lately.  It warms my mushy mommy heart.

Dear Little Man, this sleeping stuff you have been doing the past two nights has been amazing.  How about you keep it up?  PS the smiles and laughing are ridiculous...keep that up too!

Dear Christmas, you are coming way too fast...slow down!  PS I love you!

Dear Grey's, this thing you have going with Meredith and Christina reminds me a lot of my last friendship.  Hopefully they can work it out the way my friend and I weren't able to.  PS I really don't see how you are going to top any of your most recent season finales.

Dear Parenthood, you got me again.  This time it was when the woman with cancer came to vote.  PS I hate that she lost.

Dear cold weather/snow, why is it that you are everywhere but here?  Don't get me wrong, I'm quite thankful for the mild temperatures but I want some snow!  PS a white Christmas would be awesome.

Dear Thanksgiving, I am so excited for you.  I love family holidays and traditions and I am looking forward to spending the day with my family.  PS you're not going to do anything to help my waistline.

Dear readers, Have a good weekend!

  1. I'm sad about the Christina and Merideth story line also. It's sad that they have had such a strong friendship for so long and now this. I hope they fix it before the end of the season when Christina leaves.
Yay for little man sleeping! It's monday so I hope he continued through the weekend!!

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...
