So What Wednesday (or Thursday)

Check out Shannon at Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday.

So what if:

~I forgot to post this yesterday.  It's been a busy week.

~I'm nesting hardcore.  Baby clothes are washed and put away, diapers are set up, rearranging and organizing is taking place.  It's been fun.

~I am excited for my doctor's appointment on Monday but also dreading it.  I'm pretty sure we are going to be dealing with some preeclampsia this time around again so that makes me nervous.

~I'm obsessed with Making a Murderer.  I have 3 or 4 episodes left but now I want to read all the articles that show why he's guilty.  The show is not convincing.

~My husband and I are also kind of obsessed with The 100.  We started watching it on Netflix and now we are totally drawn in.

~My kitchen is ALWAYS a mess.  There are always dishes to be done, counters to be cleaned, floors to be washed.  It's annoying that my kitchen just never stays clean.

~I'm really looking forward to dinner with friends tomorrow night.  We haven't had a date night in a while so we can really use the time away from the kids.

~We are going on vacation the beginning of February, except it's not really a vacation for me.  I get to do what I do every day while my husband gets to go skiing with his friends.  Not saying that he doesn't deserve some off time but what about me?

~I was so excited for The Martian and I still haven't watched it.

~I'm excited for the snow that we are supposed to get but I hate that my husband has to work when it snows.  Why couldn't he pick a profession where snow days are encouraged?

What are you saying so what to?

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
