So What Wednesday

Check out Shannon at Life After I Dew for So What Wednesday.

So what if:

~I have a massive to do list for 2016.  Probably the longest to do list I have ever created.  Organizing, de-cluttering, budgeting, all kinds of stuff going on over here.

~I think my nephew is going to hate his birthday gift.  I got him something other than video games so I'm sure it's going to go over well.

~I keep seeing all of these IKEA hacks for beds and now I want to build the kids new loft beds.

~The kids didn't go into their playroom for like two weeks, mostly because it was way too messy and I didn't feel like cleaning it up.  I'm still working on it.

~Our heater is fixed but now our TV is broken.  Oh and our sewer pumps aren't working properly.  2016 sucks so far.

~I've tried a few things on Ashlyn's hair and nothing has worked so far.  Still always tangled and crazy.  Most products just weigh her hair down and make her lose her curls.  I'm not ready for those curls to go away just yet.

~Everyone is talking about this Making a Murderer and now I feel like I have to watch it.  So I started to.  And now I know why everyone is talking about it.  Only on episode 3 so far.

~Even though it wasn't a very good season, I'm kind of sad that American Horror Story is over tonight.  I really liked Lady Gaga this season and I hope they bring her back.

~It's about time Leo won an award.  I haven't even seen the movie and I'm ecstatic that he won an award for it.

~The Martian is available for rent through iTunes and I'm so excited.  Let's just hope the new modem I bought will allow us to download it in less than three days like the old one.

~The kids got a lot of play-doh stuff for Christmas.  I love how quiet it is when they sit at the table and play but I hate the mess they make.

~My husband told me I wasn't allowed to hang the 'asshole' sign my person got me for Christmas.  I think the sign is hilarious.  And I did hang it.

What are you saying so what to?

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
