Update 10/25/11

How far along: 33 weeks, 49 days to go!
Size of baby: The size of a honeydew!
Maternity Clothes: Nothing new recently!
Gender: Baby Girl!
Movement: Lots and lots!
What I miss: My energy!
Cravings: I'm not really craving much of anything.
Symptoms: A lot of aches and pains going on but nothing serious!

UGH! Where has all of my energy gone?! I was feeling pretty good for a while. The mixture of cooler weather and my Little Miss kickboxing really lifted my moods. But now I feel like all of my energy has just been zapped out of me! It doesn't help that I have been sick with a cold for 2 weeks but still. I have been getting PLENTY of sleep and have been drinking a ton of water. I just have NO ENERGY!

I'm also getting more and more nervous as the days pass on. My husband said to me last night, "I just don't think you're going to make it to December. Actually, I don't think you're going to make it to the baby shower!" WHAT?! He says he has a feeling that Little Miss is going to be here a lot faster that we thought. I hope he's wrong!

The baby shower isn't until November 20th, 3 weeks before my actual due date. It's pretty late but it's manageable. So of course we are waiting to see what we get off of our registry before we go out and buy things. So, we have no crib or nursery furniture, we have no diapers or bottles or pacifiers, we have one blanket and a few outfits but that's about it!

The point is, we are not ready for Little Miss yet! We don't even have her room painted yet! We are hoping to get that done this week. The house isn't even close to being finished yet so that makes me nervous too. We just have so much to do and we only have 7 weeks to do it!

So, I hope my husband is wrong. I mean, I would love for Little Miss to come early but I was thinking more like the beginning of December rather than the middle of December, not in November!! I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I got a lot of RSVPs from people for my husband's 30th birthday party. We have a pretty big group now so I'm getting excited for that. It's no longer a surprise because someone actually started talking to him about it (I think she knows who she is LOL). So now he knows all about it. So I planned something else for him to do on his birthday and I am going to keep that a surprise!

This week is going to be crazy for us! We are not home at all this week. We have an interview tonight for a bookkeeper for my husband's business, we have a church meeting tomorrow night, dinner with friends Thursday night and another church meeting Friday night. It's just crazy!

My next update will be on Monday after my doctor's appointment. Hopefully we will get an ultrasound this time!

I also want to make a quick shout out to "An Ordinary Mom". Check out her blog here. She is going through a very difficult time right now with her oldest son who had a brain tumor removed recently. Please send your love to her and her family.

Love the blogs by the way! Can't believe it's almost here! Let me know if I can help with anything? I'm free now that there's no wedding planning, so please abuse me!

I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
