Friday's Letters

Linking up with The Sweet Season for Friday's Letters

Dear Baby Girl, I'm so sorry that you have another ear infection.  Now we have to go see the Ear, Nose and Throat specialist and talk about some tubes.  I'm really hoping we don't have to deal with that just yet but we will decide when the times comes.  You have been such a little trooper and Mommy thanks you for taking your medicine so easily, even though I know it's probably really gross!

Dear Baby #2, thank you!!  Almost 10 weeks and still not a pound gained!!  I'm pretty sure I had already gained 5 pounds with Baby Girl by this point so thank you!!  Now let's keep it going until my next doctor's appointment.

Dear CVS, you have got to be the worst Pharmacy I have ever visited!  I waited in the drive thru line for what felt like forever before I finally decided to give up and go inside in the pouring rain.  Then I stood in line to wait for my daughter's prescription only to hear the girl running the drive thru say, "Can't people stop coming...I need to get this done!"  Really?  You suck!

Dear grocery store, all I wanted was a Bowl Apetit Pasta Alfredo bowl.  That's it.  The fact that you don't have Bowl Apetit anymore really pissed me off and almost made me cry.  You better shape the hell up and starting giving this Mama what she wants!

Dear Husband, I'm sorry you are sleeping on the couch again but it's for the best.  Hopefully you will get over this illness soon and re-join me in the bedroom!

Dear Poconos, I am SO looking forward to visiting you next week.  I can't wait to get away from work and everything else and just relax with my family.  It's going to be awesome.

Dear Pooka, I'm so glad you were finally able to find your way back home.  Stories like these warm my heart!  Dog Reunited with Owner

Dear new iPod, I finally got you all set up and I'm in love!  Don't get me wrong, you're not all that much different from my old iPod but you do have a nice little touch screen and your battery does last a lot longer.  Now if only I could get Baby Girl to stop chewing on your ear buds!

Dear 49ers, while you aren't my team, you are my husband's and it would be really cool if you could with the Superbowl.  He has been a die hard fan forever and has taken a lot of criticism for liking you.  Give him a break would ya?

Dear readers, don't forget to vote!!  Will Baby #2 be a boy or a girl?  Have a great weekend!

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
