One Last Christmas Stop

We decided to go to Longwood Gardens this for the Christmas lights that they have every year.  Check out their website for more information.  The place is huge and it's beautiful and while were weren't really impressed with the Christmas lights, we do plan to go back over the summer to see all of the gardens they have.

Of course it was dark out so the pictures aren't the best but here are they are...

The first thing we came across...they were stakes in the ground with lights on top so it looked like a field of lights and they changed color.

We enjoyed all of the red trees

These were giant snowflakes hanging in the trees

They had these trees out on the water

They had this huge tree house.  Baby Girl wasn't impressed

This was the entrance to one of the buildings.  Loved the stars hanging.

And then they had table set up for what looked like 100 people!

We tried to get a few good photos of us but...

Baby Girl did very well despite how cold it was.  She had a mini meltdown about half way through because she was hungry but Mommy was prepared.  Then we think she started getting cold at the end because she was starting to have another melt down before we decided to leave.  She looked around and took everything in but I don't really think she was all that into it.  Maybe next year.

by the way, I figured out the problem. You are under no reply blogger again. Not sure if that was intentional. Maybe that is why you don't hear back from anyone.

Cheerios Stands

So when I logged onto my computer this morning, the first article that caught my attention was this one ( Cheerios Stands ) about a new commercial Cheerios has out.  They are getting a ton of negative feedback for this commercial and I'm just not understanding why. So basically, people are upset because this is a white mother, a black father and a biracial child.  What's the big deal? I know that it isn't a common thing to see in a TV commercial but what's the big deal?  I really don't think that biracial couples are uncommone these days so I'm not really understanding why they are getting such negative feedback for this commercial.  I give a ton of props to Cheerios/General Mills for not pulling the ad.  They could do that and that would be easy and would end the negativity but they are not going to do that.  Good for you.  There is no reason why this ad should not be aired. By the way, I think the commercial is cute and funny and I proba...

29 Week Bumpdate

The heart rate today was 160 and all is well. Little Man is still kicking away all the time!  He sleeps until late morning and then he's all over the place for the rest of the day.  It's fun but it's also uncomfortable sometimes. When I weighed myself on Sunday, which is when I usually do it to update my pregnancy app, I was only up 15lbs.  As of today, though, I am up 17lbs.  I feel like I am growing at warp speed but the doctor assures me that I am measuring just fine.  I do feel like some of the shirts I wore two weeks ago shouldn't be worn anymore though!  The bump is growing! I have noticed that I have been waking up with swollen ankles every morning despite sleeping with them elevated.  I know this has a lot to do with the weight gain since I had such a problem with it last time.  Other than that, the normal heartburn and backaches come and go and I'm crazy tired but I don't really have any other issues.  I don't ever ...

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...
