Tuesday Topics: 8 TV Shows

Linking up with Tiffany from The Austin Family Diary for the first time for

The Austin Family Diary

I missed ten and nine so I am starting with eight TV shows.

I am in love with this show.  Where else can you see so many different things being addressed?  Adoption, single moms, in laws Cancer, Autism.  This show makes me laugh and cry every time.

I think I started watching Grey's after ER left the scene.  ER was one of my favorites shows as well.  I didn't take to Grey's as quickly because I thought it was a knock off of ER.  I'm glad I started watching it because it's another show that makes you laugh and cry.

Um...can we say awesome?  I love this show!  Kerry Washington equals amazing!

Yes, it's a musical show and I really thought that I would hate it (since I can't stand Glee) but I LOVE it and I can't wait for the new season to start in February.  I wasn't a fan of Katherine McPhee on American Idol but I'm not really sure why.  I know she got robbed and should have won.  In any case, she is amazing in this show.

This will become my Monday routine again.  Watch The Voice, then watch Smashed.  I love The Voice.  It's so much better than American Idol.  I love the coaches and am really disappointed that Cee Lo and Christina will not be on next season.

My husband and I started watching this show one day...not sure why...but I'm glad we did.  It's awesome.  People seem to hate Kelsey Grammer but he is phenomenal in this show.  Too bad we canceled our Starz subscription and won't be able to watch it anymore.

This is another Starz show we won't be watching anymore.  But it's sooo good.  We saw the ramp up on it for some time so we figured we'd watch the first episode to see how bad it was and it was surprisingly good!

I know...it's lame...but it's so funny.  I actually watched an episode one night because there was nothing else on and then I got my husband hooked.  There was a Duck Dynasty marathon and we watched all of the episodes in one day!

  2. My family has been saying that I need to watch Duck Dynasty for a long time! Hopefully another marathon airs soon for my DVR! I watched Parenthood for a while and kinda stopped this season...for some reason I got bored with it and it felt like the same ol stuff. I love Grey's though! Thanks for linking up!!

I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
