My Dear Sweet Baby Girl

In about two months, you will become a big sister.  Everything is about to change for you.  I can't help but feel a little sad that our one on one time is ending but I know that we will navigate through this new adventure together.

You have been such an amazing little child.  You are so smart and funny and strong willed.  You give tons of hugs and kisses and you laugh like no one else in this world.  I hope that you will never forget how much your Daddy and I need you and love you.

I know that this is going to be a big adjustment for you and I can only hope that I help to make it as smooth as possible.  You will always be my first born, my Baby Girl.  We have such a strong bond and nothing will ever shake it.

Your brother will need a lot of attention at first and I don't ever want you to feel left out or feel like we don't love you as much.  I will do my best to involve you in every part of this process.  I know that you will be a fantastic helper and I will need your help a lot!

I hope that you and your brother will share a very strong bond that will never be broken.  I hope that you want to protect him whenever he needs it.  I hope that he returns that protection.  I hope that you give him the same hugs and kisses that you give us.

I hope that you can learn to share your toys.  I hope that you will teach your brother his ABC's and teach him how to count as well as you already do.  I hope that you will teach him all of the songs that you know and that you will sing to him every day.

I hope that you make him laugh and that you laugh with him.  Your laughs are so sweet already, I can't imagine how much my heart will swell to hear you both laugh!  I hope you share with him your love of being outside.  I hope you play nicely together and always make up whenever you fight.

You are such a sweet girl and I can't wait to see the kind of sweetness you will share with your brother.  I can't wait to see the pride you will have at being the older sibling and being the one who gets to teach him new things.

These next two months are going to be very precious to Daddy and I because we get to spend them with just you.  We are going to soak you in even more than usual and enjoy our time left as a family of three while getting more excited about becoming a family of four.

You just keep being your awesome little self.  We wouldn't want you any other way.

Love,
Mommy

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
