Linking up with Adventures of Newlyweds for

Dear Baby Girl,  you're beginning the testy toddler stage.  You have been throwing things and screaming for no reason and having little melt downs when you don't get what you want.  You still melt my heart every single day but we need to work on these things so you don't drive Mommy insane.

Dear Hurricane Sandy, I am so thankful that you didn't cause damage to my home or knock my power out at all but you really are a bitch.  I read this article this morning Help is Slow and it just broke my heart.  My family and I were safe and sound in our home while this mother was struggling to keep her children alive.  Sending all of my love to the families affected.

Dear first birthday outfit, I have loved you from the moment I saw you so I really hope that you are as cute as your picture.

Dear husband's birthday presents, I know I only ordered you yesterday but I would really appreciate it if you could be here by tomorrow.  The husband's birthday is Monday and I'd really like to not have to give him an IOU.

Dear Tastykake, I hate you and your dam red velvet cupcakes.
Dear CMA Awards, you were very entertaining.  I'm so happy that Blake Shelton won entertainer of the year over that stupid Taylor Swift.  And I love Miranda Lambert so kudos to you both.

Dear Loren, you were amazing! I can't believe you waited this long to show us what you got!  Loving the show this season and happy to see some of my favorites are still around.

Dear new followers, thank you so much for following me. I am so appreciative of anyone who actually wants to read my blog! I hope all of my readers have a great weekend!

  1. That birthday outfit is adorable! I notice so many people do tutu's for the 1st birthday. Is there a reason?

Blog Commenting Challenge!

Linking up with Jenna's Journey  for the 3rd Annual Blog Commenting Challenge! Hi! I'm Vanessa! I live with my husband Bryan and my amazing 6 month old Ashlyn in Pennsylvania. I was born and raised here and love it very much! We have 2 pugs, Katie and Utley, one black lab, Camo and one cat, Joey. Our second cat, Kitty, is sadly recently deceased (on Father's Day). I work full time as a Marketing Analyst for a supply chain consulting firm. I don't even know what that means really! I have been here for 3 years and am thinking about a career change. SAHM is looking better and better. My husband owns his own landscaping business which has been both wonderful and horrible at the same time! My husband and I know each other for about 17 years now and we have been together for 12. We got married in September of 2010, just 2 weeks shy of our 10th anniversary! We got pregnant after only 2 months of trying and last December we were greeted by Ashlyn Marie Miller,...

17 Tips - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin

17 Tips for a Healthy Pregnancy - #1 Take a Prenatal Vitamin Even when you're still trying to conceive, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy, so it's important you get essential nutrients, like folic acid, calcium, and iron, from the very start. Prenatal vitamins are available over the counter at most drug stores, or you can get them by prescription from your doctor. If taking them makes you feel queasy, try taking them at night or with a light snack. Chewing gum or sucking on hard candy afterward can help, too. It took me a little while to get into the habit of taking my prenatal vitamin. I wasn't used to taking anything daily since I had been off the pill for a few months. I finally got myself in the habit of taking it every morning. I just take an over the counter vitamin. It has the same nutrients as a doctor prescribed vitamin but is less hass...

HFMD

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a common viral illness that usually affects infants and children younger than 5 years old. However, it can sometimes occur in adults. Symptoms of hand, foot, and mouth disease include fever, blister-like sores in the mouth (herpangina), and a skin rash. ( http://www.cdc.gov/hand-foot-mouth/about/index.html) Are you kidding me? Blister-like sores in the mouth? Why do things like this even exist? What purpose does an illness like this that just torments little babies (and their parents) serve?  This stupid illness is currently 'running it's course' through my poor son. One week before his first birthday. Apparently it's 'going around' as the doctor so nicely explained.  Fortunately we only had one really bad day where he was not eating or drinking much and was just miserable. He was back to his usually happy self in no time even with blisters in his mouth. So this week, while my husband is away for work in Chicago and ...
